The absence of well developed tourist destinations in Cameroon makes it very difficult for tourist to come in the expected numbers; this makes it actually indispensable for many sites to be developed.It is puzzling to realize that the tourism sector in Cameroon (commonly said to be Africa in miniature) is not developed though faced with a long standing economic crisis. Many other African countries especially in the Maghreb enormously developed their tourism to an extent where they can actually count on it to actively participate in development. This insinuates that a minimum of planning, transformation or improvement needs to be done and this should involve the government, civil society and individuals.
The impact of tourism is extremely varied involving both positive and negative impacts.
Founded in 2009 Wiykijung Cameroon is a non profit making, non political charity non governmental organisation with the simple mission of addressing these problems as a contribution to the economic development of Cameroon.

La ausencia de destinos turísticos bien desarrollados en Camerún hace que no vengan en el número deseado; siendo éste un campo imprescindible para el desarrollo de muchos lugares.Es desconcertante darse cuenta de que el sector turístico en Camerún (conocido como la África en miniatura) no está desarrollado a pesar de padecer una larga crisis económica. Muchos otros países africanos, especialmente en el Maghreb, desarrollaron enormemente su turismo hasta el punto en que participa activamente en el desarrollo del país. Esto hace pensar que es necesaria una planificación, tranformación y mejora que debe involucrar al gobierno, la sociedad civil y a las personas.
El impacto del turismo es sumamente variado e involucra tanto impactos positivos como negativos.
Fundado en 2009, Wiykijung Cameroon es una organización benéfica no gubernamental sin animo de lucro y no política con la mera misión de encarar estos problemas como una contribución al desarrollo enonómico de Camerún.
